Jack and Kathleen Mernagh with their sons David and Colin are your hosts at this most interesting of farm house. To visit Killiane Castle  is to be at  once immersed in the quiet luxury of the present with all the pervading evidence of a rich historical past in the background. This beautiful abode is situated in the south east corner of Wexford on a narrow leafy country road - a getaway haven "far from the madding crowd".

To the historian Killiane Castles' 17th century house 13th century  Norman castle and small medieval church of St Helen are a delight. Climb the well maintained stairs of tower and observe the many Interesting interior features. On arrival to the parapet  to the magnificent views of the local country side and coastline.

The house has a centrally located hall, with an elegant drawing room with an open fire to the right and a beautifully appointed dining room to the left.

The individually designed en-suite rooms offer comfort and warmth with all the modern facilities. The 8 bedrooms occupy the 1st and 2nd floors reached by a typically wide 17th century staircase.

All rooms have views of the gardens and green fields with cattle grazing, some have views of the Wexford coastline.. Rooms are equipped with TV’s, hairdryers, electric blankets, magazines and water. Ironing facilities are also available.

On arrival to Killiane Castle you are offered tea or coffee and some of Kathleen’s homemade biscuits.

Breakfast is a special treat. Firstly there is a buffet table with a wide rage of fruit dishes and home made yogurt .

Followed by a extensive menu of freshly cooked breakfasts using our own free range eggs along with home made bread and much more.

In the evening you can relax in the drawing room or garden and choose something from our light meals menu and a bottle of wine from our wine list.

This is the perfect place to stay.
